After supporting Feeding America for a number of years, California bed-and-breakfast owner Robert Voiss says the decision to include the organization in the planning of his estate was easy. "I chose to include a gift to Feeding America in my estate plan for the great work and food they provide throughout the country."
"I learned of Feeding America several years ago when it was recognized as one of the best-run, highest-rated charities in the country-a title it still has today," Robert says.
Although he hasn't been affected by hunger personally, Robert is well aware of the challenges faced by many children and families who struggle with hunger on a daily basis, go to bed hungry and don't have enough to eat. "While it's not like an earthquake or a natural disaster, in its own way, it is a continuing national disaster and it needs to be addressed," he says.
Feeding America does a great job of driving awareness and informing others of the plight of many food-insecure Americans, and what so many of us take for granted: being able to eat when we are hungry says Robert.
"I believe others should feel very confident about making planned gifts and/or regular contributions to Feeding America, not only for all the work they do right here in our country to feed the less fortunate, but also for their consistent 4-Star rating by Charity Navigator."
